Issue with on click of SEND button. its getting clicked but there is no action getting performed for that mouse click.
Are you using the latest stable version of IBM Lotus iNotes?
If yes, could you make a test with a new profile, please:

I have the same issue with FF 16.01 on Mac OSX Snow leopard using IBM Lotus iNotes 8.5.2 Build 401.8 January 25, 2011

Actually switching it to plain text allows to send, it is only RTF mail type that seems to have an issue. I think there is a routine that runs on the message (perhaps to change urls to clickable links? or similar) before it will send the message.

Nope.
Same problem here after migrating from Firefox 15.0.1 to 16.0 on Windows XP
IBM Lotus iNotes 8.5.3 FP2 May 24, 2012
Not sure if it's very useful but here is the code for the "Send" button :
<td id="e-actions-mailedit-send" class="s-cell-center s-toolbarcell-left s-toolbar-text" style="-moz-box-sizing:border-box;-moz-user-select:none;" unselectable="on" onclick="AAA.DSq.ELU(event, 'e-actions-mailedit', 'EbK', {sAction: 'a-send'});" onmouseout="AAA.DSq.EKc.prototype.EYl['e-actions-mailedit:Ebx'].EEu(event, this);" onmouseover="AAA.DSq.EKc.prototype.EYl['e-actions-mailedit:Ebx'].EEu(event, this);" com_ibm_dwa_ui_toolbar_overflowed="false" toolbarindex="6" toolbarside="left" title="Send">
<span id="e-actions-mailedit-send-text" class="s-toolbartext-noicon">Send</span>
</td>

There is actually a workaround.
Lotus iNotes exists in 3 modes : Full mode, Lite mode and Ultra-light mode.
The problem only appears in the Full Mode.

Hello Pierre, did you report the issue to IBM support service too?
It might be an issue on their side.

Hello Loic, I will certainly do it.
But as it was working in Firefox 15 and before, I suspect there is a Firefox issue too.

Do you know if it's possible to test IBM Lotus iNotes with a guest account or if a demo exists? It would help to find a potential regression range between FF15 and FF16.

For information, a test with a newly created profile gives the same result

I will try to find if there is somewhere a demo version which you could use. In the meantime don't hesitate to tell me about any test I could run on my installation.

This tool: http://harthur.github.com/mozregression/
If you have some time to spend, install the package and just run the console to type mozregression --good=2012-06-01 --bad=2012-08-01 to find the regression range (1st FF16 builds started in June).

I manage to solve the problem here with our lotus admin.
This is related to the use of signed scripts.
See http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21610926 for details.
Our admin applied the workaround given on the server and now it's working fine.
