From the Landing Page (Homescreen), swipe left to transition to the Everything.me screen. The framerate is slower than it should be and slower when compared to swiping between the normal app icon grids. Also, the transition is not implemented correctly. It is currently not documented in the transitions spec, but this is what I would expect from the animation: background wallpaper beings to fade to the cloud image (with dark overlay) immediately upon swiping, not after the Everything.me screen has fully transitioned to fill the screen. In the same manner, the icon tray at the bottom should start to translate down off the screen immediately upon swiping, not after the Everything.me screen has fully transitioned. Making these two changes will significantly help the 'feeling' of smoothness in this transition.
Additionally, it feels like at the beginning of the swipe (both in and out of this screen) there is a split second delay, that makes this transition feel 'difficult', as if it doesn't want to get started. Fixing/removing this delay will really help. Tested on: otoro_2012-10-22_ics_us

This bug needs to be refined based on UX discussions from SF B2G workweek. Potentially waiting on mockups from Steve's team - stay tuned.

Rewritten using performance/ux-trust bug template. -- What makes it feel slow/broken? This transition has since been rewritten, but the slight performance hickup is still present. Basically, it feels like it's resisting your swipe and takes an extra second before the slide across the screen starts. This happens going both ways (to and from everything.me page from the landing page). Did it prevent you from doing what you wanted? Why? No, it just feels sluggish, resistant. How does this make you feel? [ ] :) I feel happy about it [X] :| Meh [ ] :( I'm upset [ ] >:O I'm angry Device: Unagi, Nov. 22 Nightly. Details: (technical factors, FPS, app startup time, ms elapsed, etc) Bonus: can you attach a video of the problem? Time permitting.

Closing this as won't fix since accessing e.me won't require swipe left in future releases. Gordon/Josh/UX, Please reopen and nom for a specific release if UX still considers this an issue that needs to be addressed.
