What is the life span of this content? It doesn't look like content that stays online for long since it talks about Aurora. I'd like confirmation that this is not something that will be removed in just a few weeks before we give work to a hundreds translators.

Hi Pascal.

This will be online at least until January when we likely move the Marketplace into Beta (it's not tied to the Fennec release trains). This is of strategic importance, since we are aiming to show momentum towards partners with user facing comms such as this. Please be assured - I would not have requested localisation if it had not have been important.

Dan, that page has a subscription box for a newsletter, that newsletter is most likely in English and it probably follows US legal rules for email subscriptions.

Is it OK to remove that subscription box for locales? If not, we need to file a bug for the webdev team to make that newsletter subscription box work with email subscriptions from people outside of the US (probably a sepatate database and a double opt-on process, I think Jesselyn Davis can give more details on the technical and legal requirements for newsletters reaching an international public).

Hey Guys. We currently are in the process of localising the the Apps Product Page (mozilla.org/apps) for PT and ES.

We have an email collection form for the U.S locale, and I would like to have this form on non U.S locales too (when we start Apps mailouts in TEF markets).

Please see Pascal's note above about using this same collection form for non-US locales. Can you give any advice here?

Thanks, Dan.  So to clarify - is the plan that you will be localizing the email content in these locales prior to sending communications?  So you'll have three emails - one in English, another in Portuguese and then a third in Spanish?

What is the decision about that subscription field? We have that page in Spanish, Portuguese and French ready on a testing server, can we just deactivate the subscription field for locales other than en-US so as that we can push translations to production?

Hey Pascal, Thanks for checking in. I believe Winston and Dan are trying to figure out the best way to proceed with the subscription form being available on non en sites.

To keep the progress on pushing the localized version of this page, please hide the email signup form info from any non en page (it can show on en-US, en-GB, etc.)

I opened a pull request for that (https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock/pull/509), as soon as it is merged into production, I will activate Spanish, Portuguese and French translations on production.
