I have a dangling reference to the db and so when I exit, I don't appear to be committing. QA: there is no way for you to test this yet.

Is this related to the account manager shutdown problem? Adding Scott P to cc list - he knows a lot about similar issues for local mail folders.
Hmm. When I last tested out Shutdown, I verified that all of my news, imap, and local folders were getting deleted. So, either there's an extra ref count when you do something I wasn't doing with news, we're leaking again, or it's a different problem.

Seth, was this fixed the day we found a memory leak in nsMsgFolder::GetServer, or is this a different bug?

putterman fixed some ref-counting problems. I need to re-investigate this again. (I think it may be fixed. slipping to m10.

Have not heard back from Seth so went ahead to test this fix. I created a news account and subscribed to a newsgroup. Downloaded messages, read a few, then closed mozilla. Reopened and checked the newsgroup again. Everything looked okay. I was using a debug build from 11/22/99. Seth - if this is not sufficent to test then let me know. VERFIED
