1. Swipe left to everything.me.
2. Enable tech news under the "+" more section.
3. Go to ars technica.
4. The desktop site shows up instead of the mobile site.
For other sites, e.g. Tech Spot, the mobile site appears.

Yes it is a tech evangelism issue (always check the same url on Gaia's Firefox)
But, there is a difference between them regarding zoom size.
I'll open a ticket for it.

This has been solved when ars technica has switched the user agent detection. See Bug 843149
