Details

I have Firefox installed as en-US version but also have german language pack installed (globally).
Up to Firefox 17 it always worked to get the german UI when intl.locale.matchOS was true.
Starting with Aurora 18 the Firefox UI is en-US (extensions are still de-DE though) so the matchOS settings still seems to work correctly.
The language from the german language pack is not picked up for some reason.
Hmm, after doing the following it works again:
- disable langpack in addon manager
- enable langpack in addon manager
- restart Firefox

No idea what got confused.
I can confirm I had the same issue.
Component: Internationalization → Add-ons Manager
Product: Core → Toolkit
Just a wild guess that this is related to some extension/addon thing.
duped since I was able to reproduce 100% with FF18 before backing out as 677092 as suggested as workaround for the other bug and now it's working fine again.

Wolfgang, I'm trying to reproduce this problem and see if it happens in other OSs. Where can I get the language pack you were using? I couldn't see the problem with the ones I tried.

Also, could you please provide us some more specific steps to reproduce the problem?
