LoFo - who will be driving the content here? I'm wondering if we would be creating a whole new section or this would be a sub-section of existing categories. Please advise. The ideal scenario would be that we'd highlight this at the top of the page, but I'm not sure if that works with the existing structure -> if social API is to fall into an existing content bucket.

Here's some copy direction and more info on the Social API itself.
This fits best in the "Modern API" section. Would be great to make it the first pod, and move the rest over. Not sure if new graphics are needed here but open to creative ideas if we feel like it will help convey the Social API.

Social API Overview:
Overall Positioning: For developers looking to increase user engagement with their product or service, the Social API is the only feature offered in a major browser that allows their users to stay connected to the product no matter where they go on the web.
Consumer Value Prop: This service allows me to put my products front and center in the user's everyday browser experience. I no longer have to depend on users taking the extra step of opening (and maintaining) a separate tab for my page; my products and services can follow the user wherever they go on the web b/c it is always present in valuable "real estate" within the browser.
Highlights of how we've described it thus for on Future of Firefox Blog:
- Much like the OpenSearch standard, the Social API enables developers to integrate social services into the browser in a way that is meaningful and helpful to users.
- When you turn on social integration, you get a sidebar of social news and chat which stays put as you browse around the Web – no need to switch between or open a new tab. You also get the ability to share the page you’re visiting with a single click in the address bar. The site can even let you know when you have new notifications, all without leaving the page you’re visiting. Of course, when you need to focus, you can also hide it away.

Would this work?
Social API
Much like the OpenSearch standard, the Social API enables developers to integrate social services into the browser in a way that is meaningful and helpful to users. With social integration enabled, users get a sidebar of social news and chat that stays put as they browse around the Web — no need to switch to or open a new tab.

No graphics. just the standard "learn more" that you have on the others. which I imagine would point to the MDN article.
LoFo needs to approve copy.
