What I'd like to do, by the way, is update the WebSocket multi-user chat demo I wrote ages ago (fixing it to work if WS changes have broken it since then) to also support Social API, so it can work in a sidebar, notify you if you're mentioned in the chat, etc. If anyone's interested in working on this, let me know, and I can send you that code. Of course, this would be helped enormously if we had a way to host these kinds of examples...
