The keyboard spec calls for a long press on the ".com" key to show a special character chooser with the following options:

".net", ".org", ".edu" and localization country (i.e. ".es")

I checked with Product Management and they confirmed that this is the latest version of the Application Status spreadsheet, so this feature should be treated as out of status for v1. However, I would like to nominate this bug for the 1.2. release.
