User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.11 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/23.0.1271.64 Safari/537.11 Steps to reproduce: Installed Provider for google calendar 0.17 and linked my google calendar. Actual results: as soon as calendar was added and the wizard exited Thunderbird froze. A restart did not fix the problem. I had to start Thunderbird with addons disabled and delete my calendar. Then when restarted with addons activated Thunderbird runs OK. Provider for google calendar 0.17 is still installed but no account is added. Only appears to be problem in this version, previous version is OK. Win7 Home Premium x64. Expected results: Should have added account, updated account and not freeze up Thunderbird

It appears to be an issue if you tick on the cache option when creating the calendar. If this is not ticked the calendar works fine.

Version: 16 → Lightning 1.8
What version of Thunderbird do you use? What version of Lightning do you use?

This was quite a while back and as stated above the fix was to untick the cache option when creating a calendar. I have not had a crash since and do not have a crash ID file as I am now using a new computer and haven't had this issue arise. This issue, although not resolved from a programming perspective, can be closed.

According to comment there was no crash involved. Reporter only complained that Thunderbird froze. This can be normal although unwanted behavior because initial calendar synchronization with cache might take a while. Or maybe it's just an occurrence of Bug 813476.
if no crash, then someone who understands this could change the summary, etc
