Details
Hello, In Firefox, I have a loaded page, and its address in the address bar. I right-click on the address, I choose "Paste", and the clipboard's content replaces the address which was in the address bar. This is what usually occurs in Firefox Mac and in Firefox Win. So far, so good. But now, in Firefox 16.0.1 on Linux, Ubuntu, I encounter a different behaviour, which is bad. The right click does not select the address, so Firefox pastes the new address *before* the old address. So I end up with two addresses sticked together. This happens when I right-click on the address. Even when I right-click in the white part of the address field, after the address, the same happens. Thank you for correcting that. Nicolas

This is the expected default behavior on Linux. You can set the preference browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll to true in about:config to get the behavior you want.

(In reply to Mats Palmgren [:mats] from comment #1) > This is the expected default behavior on Linux. You can set the preference > browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll to true in about:config to get the behavior > you want. Except that this pref is not documented.
