Details

Description: When searching for test case results under View Results -> Test Cases by typing into the search box, the session freezes and Firefox shows it is not responding. This behaviour occurs in both Staging and Production so I'm wondering if this is expected. Build: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:19.0) Gecko/19.0 Firefox/19.0 OS: Windows 7 x64 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Navigate to View Results -> Test Cases 2. Type "test" without the quotation marks all at once into the search box without waiting for on-screen echo Actual Results: Firefox stops responding for a few seconds (1-3 seconds) and shows the words "Not Responding" in the the title bar, then resumes but only the two letters te are echoed onto the screen Expected Results: There shouldn't be any freezing and non-responsiveness when typing into the search box Additional Notes and test machine details: CPU: Intel Core i5 M 430 @ 2.27Ghz Memory: 4 GB It seems there is some sort of client-side processing going on because on task manager, I can see Nightly's memory usage spike by about 20,000 K for one second and my laptop fan spins very loudly momentarily until the spike disappears. During this memory spike, CPU usage for the firefox process increases from idle of 2% to 25%.
