Almost certainly a dup of bug 800948.

Have you turned off hardware acceleration (in Preferences : Advanced : General)?

Yes, hardware acceleration is off. Looks like a dupe indeed.

Any particular reason for disabling hardware acceleration, just out of curiosity?

It was suggested (IIRC, by a Mozillian on Twitter) as a solution for some awful perf problem with Flash. And it worked, at least on my previous MBP; I haven't tried re-enabling HW accel yet on this new one.
