http_referer not sent when graphic get is done

Details
When the browser makes a get to download a graphics from a <img src="blahblah"> type call the http_referer is not sent. I have a script logger.pl which will send the graphic count.gif when the http_referer is from the local domain. If I make the <img src into a <a href the link will work since that seems to send the http_referer okay. But when downloaded as part of the page painting process the http_referer is not sent. I verified this by emailing to myself the ENV when the graphic request was made. Let me know if you need any help with testing this. Claude

The version of Mozilla was .9 downloaded and installed May 16, 2001. Mozilla 0.9 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:0.9) Gecko/20010505
Thankyou. It's a genuine dup and no regression then: 0.9 build ID from May 5th (0505) means the fix was checked in two days later. Marking dup. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 74284 ***
