Steps to reproduce:

1. Open FF browser
2. goto youtube.com
3. Try to play any video


Actual results:

Youtube Videos don't play


Expected results:

youtube videos should work.

Seeing logcat messages like:

Looks like this was caused by the recent activities change too :|.

Update: with the fixes in bug 813828 it's now launching the video app but the youtube video is still  not playing.

I think Dale and Fabrice were involved originally when this functionality was put together. Would they be able to help out here?

There is further regression at the tip and now it's not even switching to video app when i click on the youtube video. I am seeing lots of js errors and warnings and among them this one seemed particularly interesting. Not sure if that's really the issue though:

I can't reproduce with today's gaia tip and a build that has the activity patch from bug 813828 applied.

Fabrice, Did you try this with gaia nightly and gecko beta branch? On the tip of these branches I am seeing that it switched to video app and started playing the video but it crashed right away. On all subsequent tries I only hear audio no video. I am trying this on Otoro.

The problem is that Moz and caf have gotten out of sync on their allocations to pmem_adsp.  Let's get back in sync.

We'll go back to the larger DSP allocation and fiddle with allocations in the CS timeframe.  So this can stay closed.

On Unagi Build ID:2012 1207062543  V 1.0.0 switches to video app and plays the video. But, from everything.me page it would not play at all. I get spinner hangs.

Actual results:

A grey "well this is embarrassing" screen appears


Expected results:

youtube videos should play normally.
