User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:19.0) Gecko/19.0 Firefox/19.0 Build ID: 20121121042014 Steps to reproduce: updated Aurora 18.x to 19.x as 18.x stopped 'updating' (normal at end of version). downloaded /nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/firefox.... 19... linux.tar.bz2 Actual results: central's "Nightly" is loading (blue/black icon) and Not nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/ Expected results: The 19.x package in nightly/aurora should be, but is not Aurora The package being distributed today in the Aurora directory is "Nightly" from nightly/latest-mozilla-central/

The same for Windows. I downloaded the newest Aurora 19 installation executable, both from latest-mozilla-aurora and from 2012-11-22-04-20-13-mozilla-aurora. Both directories contained a file that looks like the Nightly installer when run. The installed Firefox claims to be Nightly 19.0a2. With closer look, it has today's buildset for Aurora, used buildslaves are Aurora slaves etc., so it probably is Aurora functionality, but looking like Nightly. Error has been with the merge process: The "Merging in branding changes" changeset 82f1d32a81ef did not change the MOZ_BRANDING_DIRECTORY line of browser/confvars.sh. It still says "nightly" there and causes the Nightly branding: MOZ_BRANDING_DIRECTORY=browser/branding/nightly http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-aurora/rev/82f1d32a81ef#l1.6 (Compare with previous merge 7 weeks ago: http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-aurora/rev/c56fd6ea49c4 )

Keep in mind for the future that changes like these are prone to breaking things if landed without a clobber. Thanks!
