Just after updating to Firefox v17 from v16.0.2, I noticed that the maximize button was no more present in the title bar of the Firefox window.

Attempting to resize the window in any way causes it to collapse to a 0x0 size.

After closing the browser (by killing it since the close button was no more showing at a 0x0 size) and restarting it, the window size is set to 266x142 pixels and it cannot be resized (trying to resize it following either X or Y immediately makes it collapse to, respectively, 0 pixel wide or tall).

Also, the full screen mode (F11 toggle) doesn't work.

Please note that I retried with a fresh install of Firefox v17 (with fresh, untared binaries and after making sure the ~/.mozilla/ directory was deleted) and a new, "virgin" Linux account on my machine (so that all Gnome, Sawfish and Firefox all bear their default configuration and settings), and got the exact same results.

I never saw this happening with any other software and Firefox till and including v16.0.2 always worked fine in this respect so far.

In the attached screenshot (which corresponds to the moment after Firefox was restarted after the resize bug shrank its window to 0x0 pixel), the mouse pointer indicates the place where the "maximize window toggle" button should be.

I tried v18 beta 1 and it is also affect by this bug.

After downgrading to Firefox v16.0.2, everything works like a charm again...

My system is Mandriva 2010.2, with Gnome v2.30 (GTK+ v2.20.1) and Sawfish v1.8.2 (the most recent version that still compiles with my system's GTK+ version).
