Details
Nightly 19.0a2 (2012-11-25)
Device: Samsung Galaxy Tab (Android 3.1.1), Nexus (Android 4.1.2)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open firefox and load any page (Ex. cnn.com)
2. Open http://random.pavlov.net/silent.ogg in another tab.
3. Tap once on the video area.
Expected result:
The video controls should be displayed and stay in the view for about 5 seconds
Actual result:
The video controls are displayed but disappear almost instantly.
Note: After switching the orientation the controls are displayed properly and they stay in the view.
Well, I cannot see the controls *at all* for some (not all) HTML5 video. For example, see this page: http://blog.theliteracysite.com/this-girl-loves-books/
At least one other person seems to be in the same situation: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1093772

This works for me using a different video as the source in comment 0 is gone. Joll whatever you are seeing is a different bug.

Mr Brosnan
I am just a humble user trying to report, and get some remedy for, what appears to be a Firefox bug. I've put a screenshot, for the URL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCofmZlC72g, here: https://imgur.com/OkVA2xt. That same page works (though shows an advert, initially) in Chrome.
The problem seems intermittent: the aforementioned page works in Firefox safe mode and also subsequently in normal mode.

Joll you are commenting on a Firefox for Android bug. It is completely unrelated to your issue. Please file a new bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Firefox&component=Untriaged
