I'm not able to duplicate this in recent (thursday and friday) commercial bits. Will try couple of other systems and update this bug. Pinkerton: If you keep the focus on one of the pane, (by clicking the pane) do you still see this pbm? Thanks!
when i was seeing it, it would happen all the time, regardless of which pane had focus. other times when i'd relaunch the app everything would be ok. i'll keep an eye on it.

Actually, command keys don't work reliably at all as of 0.9.7. %1 (propeller-1) etc. don't work reliably with all windows closed but menubar retains focus. Ugh. 0.9.7 under MacOS 9.1.
actually, i find that cmd keys work unreliably since 0.9.6 in 0.9.7 (2001122106) on MacOS 9.1 with app open but no windows open cmd keys don't function. even cmd-q. also, i've never been able to open a 'location' (cmd-shift-l) window if mail client window is focussed. always have to open a new nav window and then re-type address. frustrating.

On Mac OSX I can use Cmd+N successfully - browser is shown. No problem with other Mail shortcuts Cmd+T, Cmd+P. About opening a 'location' (cmd-shift-l) window if mail client window is focussed. Yes, we can use this shortcut only from Browser - may be because it belongs to Browser, not Mail?
Summary: Cmd-keys don't work in mail window → Mac: Cmd-keys don't work in mail window
This bug is targeted at a Mac classic platform/OS, which is no longer supported by mozilla.org. Please re-target it to another platform/OS if this bug applies there as well or resolve this bug. I will resolve this bug as WONTFIX in four weeks if no action has been taken. To filter this and similar messages out, please filter for "mac_cla_reorg".
Wow, it's too bad that the MacOS 9 releases are now obsolete. There's still plenty of stuff that OS X doesn't do right, especially in the music universe. Obsolete this bug if you want to.
Mac classic is no longer supported by Mozilla. Marking WONTFIX.
