81556 - Printing messages doesnt work

Using today's release build -2001051708 -I am unable to print messages - I see
the mail print window come up and vanish but the PRINTER's window doesnt come up.

I see a dialog flash, which is probably what Esther describes, using the 3pane 
and Stand Alone window. The Print dialog appears correctly in a New 
Message/Compose or a Composer window.

I see this in WinXP too, it'd be embarassing if this feature didn't work for
Mozilla 1.0 or the next Netscape release so nominating for both.

David, what build are you using?  I'm using the 25th build on NT and it works
fine.  Do you get the print dialog for the browser?

Esther, are you able to reproduce this on XP?  Ninoschka, does this still happen
on Linux?

The dialog displays fine in the browser, but in mail/news and address book you
click print (or do ctrl-p or File | Print) you get the hourglass appearing and
then nothing.

The build ID is 2002032503, I tried a nightly a few days older than this too and
it didn't work. I don't print mail regularly, so this bug may have been visible
for ages.

I tried messing with the print preferences in debug, I can get both the native
and the XPtoolkit print dialog to appear in Navigator, but nothing will appear
in mail/news.

I'm on ICQ asking someone else with XP to try it - they're also using build
2002032503 and can print without problems - so not sure why I see the problem.

Trunk build 2002-03-26: WinMe, Linux RH 7.1, Mac 10.1.3
I am able to print on all platforms. I even tried canceling the print dialog and
trying again and it still printed.

- 3pane mail window: can print messages
- Address Book window: can print cards, lists, address books.

David, what happens in a new profile?

Additional Information: 

Using trunk build 2002-03-22: WinMe, Linux RH 7.1
After canceling the print dialog, I tried to print again and the print dialog
did not appear. Then using trunk build 2002-03-26, with the same profile it
appears to be working on all platforms. Similar problems were experienced in
bug# 133356.

so for a few days)

Using builds 20020426 branch on linux and windows, branch 20020422 on mac
ox10.1, I can print the first time and after cancelling he Print dialog.
