Update the L10N:Tools wiki page listing various tools used by various products. https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Tools Perhaps a listing of tools by project (Firefox, Thunderbird, FirefoxOS, Web parts, plugins) would give a bird-eye view to new contributors. Perhaps a infographic/visualization about how the translations make their way from tools to Mozilla repository would be very helpful.

This type of document already exists on https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Localization_Quick_Start_Guide/Translation_phase and is complete with tutorials on how to use them and where they fit into the process. The Localization Quick Start Guide is given as required reading to all new contributors, as well as L10n:Localization_Process. Both provide newcomers with a bird's eye view of the overall process and tools used to accomplish a successful localization.

As far as visualization is concerned, we have Kálmán from the Hungarian team and Prezi on the line for helping us create visualizations of the l10n process. I'm not sure how he would visualize performing pushes and commits with hg, but that's something we can talk to him about. Arky, let's talk more about this after the Wednesday call next week. All we'll need to do is identify topics define their outlines and send them along to Kálmán.

Following up on this bug. As mentioned previously, the Translation Phase page in MDN already contains a list of active tools, as well as tutorials for using them and how they fit into the overall process. I will be emailing Kalman about creating some infographics on various topics, including a tools visualization graphic. Unless there's something else here, I'm closing this bug.
