Build: Firefox for Android 20.0a1(2012-12-03)
Device: Samsung Galaxy Nexus
OS: Android 4.1.2
Steps to reproduce:
1. tap on menu button
2. tap on New Private Tab
Actual result:
- new tab is opened in private browsing but the virtual keyboard is not opened so you are forced to tap on the URL bar in order to load a page.
Expected result:
- virtual keyboard should come up.

The desired interaction is that a new private tab should open a page similar to what you see on desktop, an about:privatebrowsing page that explains what private browsing does / means. No keyboard should appear until you tap the title bar.
So the behaviour you are seeing is correct, just not yet fully implemented.
