Details

Build: Firefox for Android 20.0a1(2012-12-03) Device: Samsung Galaxy Nexus OS: Android 4.1.2 Steps to reproduce: 1. tap on menu button 2. tap on New Private Tab Actual result: - new tab is opened in private browsing but the virtual keyboard is not opened so you are forced to tap on the URL bar in order to load a page. Expected result: - virtual keyboard should come up.
Blocks: ptpbmode
Flags: needinfo?(ibarlow)
Summary: PBM Virtual keyboard is not opened when opening a New Private Tab → PBM - Decide on New Private Tab action
Assignee: nobody → sriram
The desired interaction is that a new private tab should open a page similar to what you see on desktop, an about:privatebrowsing page that explains what private browsing does / means. No keyboard should appear until you tap the title bar. So the behaviour you are seeing is correct, just not yet fully implemented.
