If the port of the news server is not open, trying to "Get Msgs" results in an
error msg with "804b0001" as text (no text describing the problem).
Common error, bad error msg.

I get this error on biff, too, if I leave my box just sitting there with the
twisties open.

What specifically does "is not open" mean?

I am getting this error message every 10 minutes or so--it just now happened
again as I was writing this--on Mozilla 0.9.3 (also on 0.9.1) on Linux RH7.1. It
seems to occur only when the Mail window is open. I have two email and one news
accounts on the Mail window. Since Mozilla continues to run just fine after
clicking on the error clear button, why not just remove the display of the error
message? Also I just changed my ISP from PacBell to DslExtreme and it is the
same for both.

Neil Nelson
I haven't seen this anymore (and news.mozilla.org has been down recently).
Anybody else seeing this still, or can I mark it wfm?

Verified. I haven't seen this for the longest time, and even on error now, we
show the server name instead of that hex.
