Details
Private browsing has a special purple colour associated with it, which we see in the overflow menu icon, and when focusing the title bar. However, we still see the Firefox orange in many other places while private browsing, like * selecting the menu * tapping an action bar icon * pressing back/forward buttons * tapping a row in the awesomebar * tapping a menu item * tapping a link * opening the tab tray It makes the experience feel disconnected. You start to wonder, why are there so many different colours being used? -- This might be a good time for us to consider creating a more neutral selection colour for most areas of our UI, and only using orange or purple in key areas as an accent colour.

What's the gradient to be used for purple.. just like orange? https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/tip/mobile/android/base/resources/drawable/highlight.xml

Not for now. We'll revisit our highlight color rules throughout the app very soon, but we're ok for now.
