+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #811087 +++ Apparently bug 811087 has regressed (per https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/mozilla.dev.gaia/Y1wWLW-_xm0).
Vivien & David, can you assign someone to fix this regression?

But dogfooders need to choose a ringtone and alert sound (in the settings app) in order for it to work (the "by default choice" is only initiated on fresh installs). I know it sucks (don't shoot the messenger ;)).
