User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:17.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/17.0 Build ID: 20121128204232 Steps to reproduce: Using Firefox 17.0.1 Went to the following sites: www.identifont.com www.whatthefont.com www.myfonts.com Actual results: Pages display as text only, but with a few images; not all hot spots are shown; Other pages display normally. Expected results: A normal page should appear. I've attached a screen capture of what I see. NOTE: The page appears normally in (excuse the expression) Internet Explorer.
The screen capture is what I get if I force Firefox to view the page with "No Style", otherwise I see the webpages normally. Can you let us know if this still happens when you test the pages in Firefox's own safe mode? http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-safe-mode
Flags: needinfo?(hvb)
Yes, it still happens. There's no change when running in Firefox safe mode.

If yes try disabling one by one and see what happens. What about using new profile and safe mode??
What happens if you press ctrl+F5 on the page for a forced reload ?
That did it (and the results stuck)! I had tried "Reload" and had even manually deleted the entire disk cache, to no effect. Thank you, and everybody else who took a look at this vexing situation. I am curious - what is the difference between Ctrl-F5 and "Reload"? - Herb Van Brink
should be the same issue as bug 808532. You don't see the "file not found" error if it affects only the css of the page.
