Steps to reproduce:

Added Chinese characters to a <select> form element


Actual results:

When the number of options is over 20, and there are chinese characters, there is a large empty space at the bottom of the option menu.

Expected results:

The option menu should be properly sized, as seen in IE/Chrome/etc.

Seems to work fine on Linux64 and OSX, but I can reproduce it in Nightly on Win7.

This test shows the problem occurs on all platforms.
It only occurs when the number of items > 20.

Hi Gary,

I have tested this issue on the latest Firefox (45.0.1) release, latest Nightly (48.0a1 - Build ID: 20160321030217) build but I could not reproduce it. I have tested this using the provided test cases from comment 1 and comment 6, but there is no large empty space at the bottom of the select menu.

Is this still reproducible on your end ? If yes, can you please retest this using latest Firefox release and latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results ? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even safe mode, to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause (https://goo.gl/PNe90E).
