Steps to reproduce:

Tested with:
Device: Tablet Asus Transformer TF 101
Firefox: Firefox 19 Aurora, 2012-12-12

Go to google.com
Type one letter in search area



Actual results:

When I input into 1 character, 2 character will be inserted and the cursor is positioned between the 2 characters.
The cursor cannot be moved after the second character, only after a few minutes of inactivity.

Note: This issue is not reproducible for numbers, only for letter chars



Expected results:

Only one character should be inserted.

We were able to reproduce this only with ASUS EEE Transformers (Android 4.0.3) and Acer Iconia  (Android 3.2.1) with latest Aurora Build. We did not reproduce this with Galaxy Tab.

Please indicate which keyboard you are using on your tablet. As well, can you try out Nightly (http://nightly.mozilla.org) and report back if that works out for you?

Ioana already mentioned about the crash that I had, while trying to reproduce this on the latest nightly.
The keyboard is the Default Asus Keyboard.

Not reproducible on the latest Nightly , but I'm able to reproduce it on the latest Aurora

Marking as WORKSFORME since the bug is fixed on Nightly, which will become Aurora next week.

It was likely fixed by Bug 811755, but since it's so close to the next merge, I don't think we want to uplift that to Aurora now.
