Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Fennec App
2. Browse to news.google.com
3. Tap on any image
Tested with:
Device: Tablet Asus Transformer TF 101
Firefox: Firefox 18 Beta 4
Actual results:
The tapped image at step 3 is not highlighted.
Expected results:
The tapped image is highlighted.

I think this is expected behaviour. Is there a reason you expect the image to be highlighted?

I read this in the test cases from moztrap.
Also, on other native browsers, the link and images are highlighted.

I've gone back to Fennec 14 and 15, and tapping images does nothing; nor do recent channel releases.

Link to the test-case, it sounds like wrong behaviour.

Perhaps that was common to XUL fennec. I dont believe native ever allowed you to highlight an image with a tap. I think that test-case should be corrected.

I've modified the TC for all versions. Closing the bug as wontfix.
