In the manage bookmarks window, I can't create new bookmarks folders. Doing 'New Folder' show this error on the console: * Call to xpconnect wrapped JSObject produced this error: * [Exception... "'[JavaScript Error: "field.select is not a function" {file: "chrome://global/content/bindings/general.xml#inline-edit-base.setMode()" line: 22}]' when calling method: [nsIController::doCommand]" nsresult: "0x80570021 (NS_ERROR_XPC_JAVASCRIPT_ERROR_WITH_DETAILS)" location: "JS frame :: chrome:// global/content/globalOverlay.js :: goDoCommand :: line 70" data: yes] ************************************************************ An error occurred executing the cmd_newfolder command Hoever, a new folder appears in inline edit mode, and I can select and type a new name. But hitting return does not make the name 'stick' (it goes back to "New Folder"), and the Folder disappears when I close the bookmarks window.
adding to the mozilla0.9.1 radar pending investigation. if this is happening always or frequently, it shd be a stopper.

How are you invoking New Folder? I can't reproduce.
Menu or button. But this was in the days of inline editing, which has been turned off. It works now.
Fixed then. IL is gone for a while. It may be back after 6.n
