I'd like it if `Show Only This Frame' just resized the other frames 0 width/height as appropriate so that JavaScript code that attempts to re-frame the window is fouled. If I said `show only this frame' I meant it, and the web browser should see to it that my wishes are respected, regardless of what anyone (e.g., the webmaster) thinks.

Well, you would be (quite literally) `Show[ing] Only This Frame'. I think from a UI standpoint, the important point isn't the implementation method used, but rather the effect achieved. Either way achieves showing only that frame. One has the advantage of beating JavaScript re-framers.
I would like to see a "maximize this frame" and then given the option to "restore frame" after that. Might be interesting to see a "maximise form" and "restore form" too, but that belongs to another bug. I got this idea after using Free Agent.
