Steps to reproduce:
Hi!
I use a lot of tabs, and sometimes I open big number of them. Basically, pattern is that I open new tabs on the right, while old ones remain on the left. Over time I get back to ones on the left to close / review if needed, but mostly "working area" are tabs on the right.
With this kind of pattern, opening a new tab in pinned tab breaks everything. If I open new tab from pinned GMail app, it gets open on the left, so my tabs panel scrolls to the left and opens tab there. If I want to continue working in my pattern (e.g. open other tabs from the tab I opened) to keep "new things on the right", then I'll have to drag it long way to the right. And what's even worse, if I just open this page from gmail and after reading close it, focus will go to 1st tab, starting to load that (since usually it sits there non-loaded).
Basically, it seems natural for me, at least in situation when you have more tabs than to fit your ff width, to open new tabs from pinned apps on the rightmost position. It will continue "new tabs are on the right" pattern.
Thanks.

Do you want this only for pinned tabs, or for all tabs? For the latter, you can open about:config, and set browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent to false.
Severity: normal → enhancement

Aleksej,
I'd only want this for pinned tabs, don't see any reason for doing it for all the tabs. Also, I'd like it (or other solution to problem) to get info defaults.
