The android-x86 builds should be updated to use NDK r8c. Then all of the android builds will be on the same toolchain. I don't know if there are other actual benefits to doing this for x86 builds, particularly since these builds are currently using r7b which is not that old.

The try run at https://tbpl.mozilla.org/?tree=Try&rev=1a487be88844 seems fine. I ran the resulting build on the android emulator and it ran with no problems. I don't have an actual x86 android device to try it on but will see if I can find somebody who does.
