Sim Lock after b2g process crash is annoying

After using the phone for a week in Europe I have one major problem:
I missed several calls because the phone crashed at random times and after an automatic reboot I couldn't receive phone calls because of the sim lock.
It's not even obvious that you can't receive phone calls if you press the power button because the emergency only field is pretty small.
Should we deactivate the sim lock if we detect a crash? At least we should make it more obvious that we can't receive phone calls.
Almost every person in Europe I know uses the sim lock so deactivating it is not an option :)

BB because it almost made me switch back to android and the phone is really unreliable if a crash means that you can't receive phone calls afterwards.
