830032 - updater: UAC doorhanger tells "publisher is unknown for updater.exe"

Steps to reproduce:

Updated 2.14.1 release to 2.15 release.


Actual results:

When SeaMonkey updater runs, a door hanger from User Account Control opens and ask for permission to run. This door hanger does nothing to identify itself, only that it is called updater.exe and the publisher is Unknown. 
 This is causing confusion for some users that don't realize that SeaMonkey is updating, in some cases they stop updater and waiting to ask if the should allow this to run. I don't have any figures as to how many of the users in the wild experience this, but for me I get 5 or 6 questions about it each cycle.


Expected results:

I assume Windows is partly at fault, if you look at updater.exe properties it is pretty descriptive. I notice other programs are listed as Publisher Unknown, so I don't even know where Windows gets the Unknown from.
I wonder if a better name for the file like mozillaupdater.exe or something of the like.

See Bug 817383 - SeaMonkey needs new (public) GPG key, in order to support signing releases properly

Once our releases are properly signed the Updater metadata should be displayed properly.

Well it was solved in Bug 817383 but never landed.

Still waiting for a fix for this bug.  Anybody still working there?

And another year rolls by with still no fix.  Not much point in reporting stuff anymore.
