Problem: With today's xul templates we cannot reconstruct the tree structure from the data on post/pref-fix base. Usage case: RDF datsource fives flat structured descriptionof tree -- every tree node includes path to it, child nodes can be recocnized by an pre/post-fix. We need to display it as a tree. Suggestion: To extend "containment" syntax to allow generating of nested content based on pre/post-fix base.

Let's imagine we have data in datasource, eg. in LDAP one, and want them to be displayed in tree structure. RDF datasource, eg. search over whole tree, returns flat structure containing path to the node in every node. We know that a child nodes can be recocnized by an postfix and we need to recostruct the tree structure from it.
I don't understand. Please create an RDF/XML file that illustrates the ``flat'' data, and then illustrate the content model that you'd like to see generated from it.
binary_runner: take a look at the changes in bug 83360 and see if they are sufficient to do what you want without having to insert extra hooks in the XUL template build.
I think that the patch solves the problem reasonably well.
