unagi, seen while running Gecko: 8f2ef4998b60 Gaia: 45a3196a5517 Note sure if this is similar to related to Bug 826829 Perform these steps with no other apps running: STR: 1. Start the FM radio app and tune to your favorite station. 2. Hit the home button to switch to the Video app 3. Once in the video app start playing a video. Expected: I would be able to switch back and forth between these apps with no issues, and the audio on FM radio would stop when the video starts playing: Actual: Several things happen pretty consistently, all resisting in the OS crashing and the phone having to be rebooted/battery pulled: 1. I freeze in the video app and have to reboot the phone 2. The video starts playing and it freezes while it is playing - I then have to reboot the phone. Sometimes the video freezes and I start hearing the FM radio playing. Eventually without doing anything the phone will reboot on its own. I don't seem to have any crash reports in my crashes folder, and sometimes DDMS freezes - I will try to get a logcat.

Hi Marcia, Would you check your kernel version, |adb shell cat /proc/version|? If the date is "Tue Oct 16 07:34:52 PDT 2012", you should update your kernel. The latest version I know is "Wed Dec 5 04:47:49 PST 2012". This kernel fixed the reboot problem of FM radio.

Steven: The builds we test in the pvt directory are supposed to have that version in it - will have to check with rel engineering to see what is going on since the version on my phones is showing as October 16. Since I updated to the new kernel I have not yet been able to reproduce this issue, but I will give another update when I finish the smoketest today.

I have not seen any further crashes since I updated the kernel on my device. (In reply to khu from comment #5) > Hi, Marcia, do you have any update? Thanks.
