User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/24.0.1312.52 Safari/537.17 Steps to reproduce: Used Firefox... Actual results: Firefox consistently requires increasing CPU resources. With only a single tab open, even on a very lite webpage = 20 - 30% CPU (much, much worse on a heavy page or when multiple tabs are open). Chrome on the other hand runs about 4 - 8 %. Even more troubling, it runs up to 100% a great deal of the time and MILLIONS of people have the same problem but on the Bugzilla page, when this issue is mentioned, it gets dismissed as "unverified', which is a lie. Also, one of my company's pages takes about 45 seconds to load on Firefox... only 4-5 seconds on Chrome. Why can't you guys fix this issue that seems to be worsening by the week (and has been doing so for 2 years + now) and why do you continue to act as though it is not real? Expected results: "Normal" CPU usage would be nice considering Chrome is running at a consistent 4 - 8 % regardless of how many tabs / pages are open.
>when this issue is mentioned, it gets dismissed as "unverified', which is a lie. Bugzilla is a tool for our developers to manage their work on the source code. You as user can report bugs here bug each single bug report should be about one single technical issue. This is the difference between bugzilla and support or general feedback Forums. Your bug report is a good example about a bug report that is unusable for us. You complain and tell us that "million" of people have the issue. This doesn't belong into a bug report which has to be keep technical. You didn't provide Steps to reproduce. How should we fix a bug if you can't tell us how we can reproduce the issue ? Our developers, QA and users from the community use Firefox every day and we report issue like you describe immediately. >Also, one of my company's pages takes about 45 seconds to load on Firefox... only >4-5 seconds on Chrome. That could become a good bug report if you would add steps to reproduce (including an URL). Please create a new bug report if you can provide a public URL or testcase in that report. I will mark this report invalid due to the to general nature of this report. You may want to read https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Bug_writing_guidelines Your issues are probably related to addons, please test the Firefox safemode http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode and contact the support under http://support.mozilla.org if you need additional help, thanks.
