Steps to reproduce:

Firefox closes (intermitantly) when I use the minimize button. My computer is Windows XP. This happens on my wife's machine as well. (Windows Vista). I cannot see a pattern to this error and we just have to restart Firfox to continue. No error message seen (not crashing - just closing)

Could you test with a fresh profile please:

What about using FF in safe mode?
