Ugh, that sucks. I'm just going to morph this bug into a request for AMO to change the maxversion to FF17. Jorge can you contact the author and see if we can get an updated version?

To clarify, it happens with version 1.2 that is not on AMO (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/pdf-plugin-for-firefox-on-mac-/) nor Google Code (http://code.google.com/p/firefox-mac-pdf/):
PREF_GetIntPref|EXC_BAD_ACCESS / KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (21 crashes)
100% (21/21) vs. 1% (24/2285) colesbury@gmail.com (Firefox PDF Plugin for Mac OS X, https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/7518) (1.2.0)
Summary: crash in pdfplugin @ PREF_GetIntPref with PDF Plugin for Firefox on Mac OS X → crash in pdfplugin @ PREF_GetIntPref with PDF Plugin for Firefox on Mac OS X 1.2

I just added all versions up to 1.2 to the compatibility override list for 18 and above. I'll also contact the developer and try to get him to update.

Look like version 1.2 is unofficial and the add-on was discontinued a while ago:
http://code.google.com/p/firefox-mac-pdf/issues/detail?id=189&q=1.2&colspec=ID%20Type%20Status%20Priority%20Stars%20Owner%20Summary
So, I wouldn't expect a fix to become available.

Crashes almost stopped on January 18.
People probably switched to PDF Viewer or a PDF plugin.
