thx to smfr for pointing this out. only seen on the mac, with the classic theme.
fine with modern, as well as other platforms in either theme.

go to the Navigator panel of the prefs dialog. look at the scrolling list for
"Select the buttons you want to see in the toolbars":

* the scroll widget is missing from the scrollbar
* sometimes only 1 of the checkbox items is displayed in the scrolling list
ben, could you fix this? or, should this go to one of the themes engrs?

Unfortunately, when push comes to shove, little things quirks in mac classic
skin fall by the wayside. Marking mozilla1.0

I wasnt able to replicate this (I had a similar bug to this). I'd sure like to 
find someone who observes this bug.
Try putting this in your userChrome.css file:

window {
  font-family: geneva !important;
  font-size: 9px !important;
}
No longer a scrolling list.
