The pandaboards need to have their date set so tests that rely on a recent timestamp can pass (Marketplace tests for example)

Now that Bug 823122, we should be able to do this.

mdas says that it makes no difference for the calendar test.

While this isn't needed for the calendar test, it is needed for the marketplace tests.

The marketplace test suite doesn't run green yet, but when it does, we'll need it. Bug 832478 tracks the marketplace problem
