On Desktop, there is an option to request Desktop mode, so we should consider having that option on the browser app in Firefox OS too.

Product, given the head aches we've had with this on Android, I suggest we don't want this.

What headaches have we had with this on Android? AFAIK most of the headaches were with font inflation and reflow, not with "desktop mode".

All the stuff needed to support this on the platform side is already in place - you just need to call the API at [1] for the tab you want to be rendered in desktop mode.
