833562 - Add support for managing multiple system or app updates at the same time

The current UX does not allow the user to start one update (system or app update), see different updates come in, and start updates for those as well simultaneously. We also don't have a clear picture of understanding download progress on a per item basis (i.e. system update, app update 1, app update 2). We should break up this UX allow to give a clear picture of per update management for the system and app updates to allow per item control, rather than a global control of the update experience.

Example:

1. I start an app update for packaged app 1 & 2 and system update
2. I see progress bars for downloading for each packaged app updating and the system update
3. During the updates, I get a notification that I want to update hosted app preloading appcache 1
4. I then apply the update to update that app and see progress on a per item basis

We had specs for this back in Sao Paulo but it was not feasible for v1. Definitely would like to revisit in future releases!

Hi Francis,
The latest UX proposal is that for each update (whether it's a system or app update), we’ll have a separate notification. ex. 3 app updates and 1 system update will result in 4 different notifications. User should be able to manage download and install progress per item base as you mentioned. This is not implemented yet.

I don't think the request here has been addressed? In the latest OTA spec I added the rule to have separate notification for different updates, can you confirm if this is where we're heading and when? Thanks!
