Here is what I did:
1. Launched the mail applicaiton directly (not from within the browser,
control-2).
2. Logged into mail and opened/read a message which contains the following url:
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72969
Note that I've never been to this url as it's a new bug assigned to me.
3. Clicked on the link to read the content.
At this point, the browser was launched but the content was empty! The status
bar indicated "Document: Done (0.531 secs)" and the correct url showed up in the
url bar. I'll attach a screen shot for this. I then hit the ENTER key and the
content was brought up correctly. If I closed the browser and clicked on the
same link again it worked fine. Thereafter, all links woked fine. So seems like
it only had the problem the very first time a link was clicked.
Another problem I had was:
1. Launched the mail applicaiton directly (not from within the browser,
control-2).
2. Logged into mail and opened/read a message which contains a .gif image.
3. Double clicked on the image (to view the image).
At this point I saw the browser first displayed the image and then very quickly
the content was replaced by the netscape home page. So it ended up showing the
netscape home page (http://home.netscape.com/), instead of the image. I then
double clicked on the image again and it was displayed correctly. I had the
same problem with the following url:
http://jazz/users/vishy/publish/Navigator%2b_Status_05_28_2001.html
In summary, links should be automatically brought up (without the need of any
user interaction) with the right contents the very first time they are launched.

I saw this happen also on my 5/30 build on NT. cc'ing danm in case any recent
changes to opening a link in a browser window might have caused this.

this is a dup of a bug alecf has that I filed on him. Frequently when creating a
new browser window with a url, we end up loading the "default" url for the
browser window instead of the url we pass the browser window.
I don't know why we feel alec's bug is .9.2 material when this new one is
suddenly .9.1. I'll dup it.

this is a dup of 73141. it's been there for a while and has been triaged by
navigator to .9.2. If you feel they are in error then please take the discussion
to that bug.
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 73141 ***

The discrepancy is because I found out about the bug for the first time today
and the other bug was triaged by a different team!
