Yes, I also think this is an important issue.
The pinch to zoom function is a must.
At present, I have to use zooming button on my cell phone(Android 2.2), but zooming buttons are so small that I find it diffcult.

I tested pdf.js at:

Besides, since I can not scroll hozintally and vertically(I dust do not know how?), zooming buttons enlarge only the small part of the PDF(left top corner) for me.
Furthermore, sometimes even if I push the zooming button, the PDF does not enlarge itself for some reasons. The way I push may be bad but perhaps some javascript errors may be happnening. Or just my cell phone is not good.
