RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 729481

People

(Reporter: raphael.alla, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0
Build ID: 20130107224849

Steps to reproduce:

This is a deliberate duplicate of #729481... the WONTFIX answer is not acceptable
To not make this a duplicate you could change the summary to:
Get our own Flash source license and ship Flash ourselves

This is what Google does for Chrome (not Chromium), because Adobe has completely given up on Flash development for Linux.

The hard parts of this, as mentioned in bug 729481 comment 32, are legal/licensing issues.
>the WONTFIX answer is not acceptable
That doesn't matter. Feel free to create your own Firefox build with a Pepper API

dev.apps.firefox would be a better place to discuss technology decisions like this
