To not make this a duplicate you could change the summary to: Get our own Flash source license and ship Flash ourselves This is what Google does for Chrome (not Chromium), because Adobe has completely given up on Flash development for Linux. The hard parts of this, as mentioned in bug 729481 comment 32, are legal/licensing issues.

That doesn't matter. Feel free to create your own Firefox build with a Pepper API
