Hi Pawel Apologies for not getting back sooner. Yes, I would still consider this an open enhancement request but as it was filed by TEF I think they would be the best contacts to provide insight and a suggestion for improving the feedback. We have found a good solution for it now, which will be released with HERE Maps 2.0, which will go into Beta around mid September.
Any update on this issue?

Early next week.
HERE Maps Version 2.0 has been uploaded to the Marketplace today. There is a clear yellow notification now that warns you before you overwrite your previously saved map area.
Verified on a Keon device OS v1.1 using HERE Maps version 2.0 that a yellow notification box is now in place saying "Keep in mind that saving a new map area always replaces the last one you saved." Closing this bug.
