Details

Using createProfileWizard.xul revision 1.32 on a Mac on the second page of the
profile wizard when creating a new profile (newProfile1_2.xul), the "Region
selection..." button and accompanying explanation text below get chopped off
(don't fit in the diaply area of the box). Spawned off of bug 63758.

I don't think there is a bug here with respect to box layout. The XUL file
in question simply needs more vertical space than the profile manager's
iframe is providing, no?

jrgm,
You may be correct. I have alluded to this in the original bug 63758. However,
the one inconsistency here is that the box displays fine on windows but does not
on mac. Are XUL developers really supposed to test all systems before releasing
their product? Do we offer a truly cross-platform toolkit with reliably
cross-platform display behavior? If not, then this bug is most certainly invalid.
Yes, XUL authors certainly need to test before deploying on a target platform,
we cannot guarantee identical XP display. Try using a deck, or an iFrame big
enough to hold everything, or rewrite the XUL.
