+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #835680 +++ No idea what it does. Comes as a drive-by install with the linked bug. Seems to cause a fair amount of user consternation, based on forum chatter. One of these add-ons changes the search engine and keyword URL on install and does not change them back. Contacted Spigot (apparently its developers) through their contact form. Will revisit this bug in 2 weeks.
Hi Jorge, I emailed you regarding this issue and bug 835680 on January 31st. We would like to move forward with resolving the issue, but we haven't received a response yet. The email was titled "Spigot Follow Up." Thanks! Dan (In reply to Jorge Villalobos [:jorgev] from comment #1) > Contacted Spigot (apparently its developers) through their contact form. > Will revisit this bug in 2 weeks.
We're following up with Spigot on this issue.
Any updates? this also apparently caused Bug 846286.
Pinged back the developer. A partial fix was created during our discussions, but the conversation dropped off.
According to the developers, the opt-in screen issue was resolved with a new version roughly 2 months ago. Are there any recent issues related to Widgi, other than the potential crashing bug?
Other than that, I think the only issue was settings not being reverted on uninstall.
This should have been fixed by Spigot by now.
